Green Way™ Announces $250,000 Sponsorship by Absolut

Green Way™ today announced its first major corporate sponsor, Absolut Vodka, who is donating $250,000 from the profits of Absolut Los Angeles, a limited-edition, city-inspired flavor honoring the City of Angels.

Green innovation begins with Green Way’s commitment to transform a street in West Los Angeles into a “Green Street.” The green street will transform the street, curb, sidewalk and parkway so that rainwater and other polluted water is naturally cleaned before flowing into the Pacific Ocean, and brings beneficial nature back to urban dwellers.

With this announcement and support, Green Way will begin the planning and outreach process necessary to work in a collaborative manner with the local residents and community to create not only a green street but a “green way” of life for the people who live there too.

Green Way™ is pleased to launch www.greenway.net to initiate the online presence and engagement with the public that is a forum for education, information and connection to “a new way of doing business.”

In the “Our Projects” section of the website, Green Way™ has created an easy, fun way to learn about Oros Green Street, the first Green Street in Los Angeles. Through an interactive rollover concept, the web viewer can get a close-up look at “What is a Green Street?”, as well as a “Prototype Green Street” that shows the function and design of yet another new approach to capturing and cleaning street runoff.

Green Way™ website also provides an e-commerce function that allows Green Way™ supporters to make a donation and an email update to stay informed.
